You agree that the information you have provided in connection with your entry will be disclosed to British Eventing. Should you receive an injury as the direct result of an accident occurring whilst you are participating in any event organised by an affiliated event organiser, any medical reports relating to your condition will be passed to British Eventing. Any medical reports passed to British Eventing will be held on your records and passed in confidence to the UK Transport Research Lab for the purposes of safety analyses.
The competitor confirms that they have appropriate third-party insurance cover in place for the day of the competition for which they are entering. The competitor agrees to comply with all the relevant BE rules as detailed in the BE Rules and Members' handbook, including those relating to vaccinations & BEFAR (BEF Anti-Doping Rules). ARENA EVENTING is Show Jumping and Arena XC fences with an optimum time. The skill is to jump a clear round and be closest to the optimum time. May include water & steps. Note Class 1 which will not have a timed section and will be judged on faults not speed so all clear rounds will be equal 1st place.

A Team consists of 3 or 4 riders. The 3 highest scores will count towards team placings. Teams without 3 eligible scores will be eliminated. All team riders automatically count as individuals. Team winners will receive team sashes & extra prizes. *ALL TEAMS MUST BE PRE-ENTERED*

ENTRIES Juniors and Seniors riding Horses or Ponies may compete in all classes. No memberships required to enter any class. Lead Reins and assistance sections in Classes 1 & 2.

TEAM ENTRIES: Enter as normal and provide your team name. Max 4 riders per team.
*ALL TEAMS MUST BE PRE-ENTERED* All team riders automatically count as individuals. You will only ride once – your round will count as your individual and your team score. You will be placed as an individual and as part of your team.

Harry Hall One Club ACE Series Qualification Qualifying classes are run at 60, 70, 80, 90 and 100 and are open to anyone aged 10 years upwards, helping to encourage younger riders into the sport.

For 60cm, 70cm, 80cm & 90cm classes

  • below 15 starters in a class > top 4 qualify
  • up to and incl 30 starters in a class > top 6 qualify
  • 31 or more starters in a class >top 8 qualify

For 100 cm class

  • below 15 starters in a class > top 6 qualify
  • up to and incl 30 starters in a class > top 8 qualify
  • 31 or more starters in a class >top 10 qualify

Results are sent direct to BE who will contact you via email.

PRIZES Awards to 10th place in all classes with prizes in kind for the winners. 

Classes 3-6 are split Junior/Senior for awards. All classes are split for qualification purposes.

GENERAL INFORMATION
COURSE WALK  The course will be available for walking at the start of each class.
WITHDRAWALS, REFUNDS, UNPAID ENTRIES & SUBSTITUTIONS Withdrawals by 12 noon the preceding Thursday may be taken as credit or refund less £5. No withdrawals for any reason after this time. UNPAID/ON HOLD ENTRIES WILL BE DELETED and you will need to re-enter on the day at LATE ENTRY FEE.

Substitution of horse or rider is possible. Changing both horse & rider in the same entry qualifies as a whole new entry & must be paid in full.

DRESS CODE Wear XC Attire with a body protector and non-fixed peak hat. Clean & Tidy please. Any colour jods/tops. Correctly fitting Hard hats conforming to the current British Standard must be worn at all times when mounted, with proper riding boots (no yard boots). Body protectors mandatory. Horses & ponies do not need to be plaited. Numbers nor number bibs are required. NO SCHOOLING WHIPS AT ANY TIME.

TERMS & CONDITIONS Save for death or injury by the negligence of the organiser or anyone for whom they are in law responsible, Ashwood Equestrian Ltd, for themselves, their servants, agents, employees and all those connected with the event do not accept liability for any accident, loss, damage, injury, illness to horses, owners, riders, spectators, vehicles, their contents and accessories or any other person or property whatsoever, whether caused by their negligence, breach of contract or statutory duty in any way whatsoever of themselves, their servants, agents, employees and all those connected with the event or otherwise. It shall be considered a condition of entry that each entrant agrees to indemnify the organisers against any legal action arising thereto. The organiser does not insure the rider, your horse or your tack and equipment. You are strongly advised to have in place your own adequate personal accident insurance at all times.

The decision of the Judges is final. If any person wishes to lodge a complaint, this must be done so in writing within 30 minutes of the incident along with a deposit of £50 (which will be returned if the complaint is upheld). 

The organisers reserve the right to refuse entry and to remove anyone from the venue at any time without giving a reason, amend the details of the schedule should it become necessary, or to cancel any class with insufficient entries. Once a class has been entered, refunds will not be given.

GENERAL RULES

  1. All classes are open to juniors or seniors riding horses or ponies.
  2. Horses/Ponies must be 4 years old or older.
  3. Any horse/pony considered to be unsound, unfit or unhealthy by a Judge or the Organiser will be excluded from the competition without refund of entry.
  4. No horseboxes to be mucked out on site.
  5. It is compulsory that every person at the venue who is under the age of 18 years of age is accompanied by a responsible adult.
  6. No dogs will be allowed in or around any of the arenas or on the cross country course, they must stay in the lorry park or preferably remain at home. Please clean up after you dogs AND TAKE YOUR POO BAGS HOME.
  7. The event may be cancelled without notice due to adverse weather. In the event of adverse weather it is recommended that you check the website www.ashwoodequestrian.com for any announcements. In the unlikely event of abandonment, entries may be carried over to a future event or refunded minus £5 admin fee.
